Need somewhere to vent. Recently got a pass to a gym and did some lifts Monday and Tuesday. Thursday now and my arms are still killing me. I can’t even fully extend without wailing in pain. Oh well, we must endure pain to get to our ultimate goal. The goal for me, get aesthetics!!! Woo! Didn’t post to facebook or twitter cause I would come out as a pompous douchebag. FUARK I am glad I decided to finally do something about my tendencies instead of crying and bitching. Let’s go!

Never have I read read such a book that inspired me to change my life.

It is almost imminent that Abraumovich will sever ties with AVB soon due to Chelsea’s current 6th place ranking and inevitable CL execution. If Abraumovich fired Mourinho and Ancelotti after two successful stints to most owners, AVB’s future does not seem to bright. 

Nike is OD’ing on release this 2012. Trying to offload all their good stuff before the world ends I see. Let’s start off with the Olympic collection. Nike announced that they will commemorate the 20th anniversary of the ‘92 “Dream Team” by releasing a small line. This line will include some basketball shoes in the Olympic colorway (Hi-AF1, Huarache 2k4, AM180, etc…) and a special Nike Destroyer Jacket. Probably my second favorite Destroyer Jacket, next to the WBF Brasil and Black Brasil, will be the head piece off the collection. Continuing with the Olympic theme is Jordan’s release of the Olympic VI’s and wait for it, a coveted sneaker pack. The pack will consist of “Gold” 6’s and 7’s to honor Michael Jordan’s gold medal performance. Other releases include the XI Low and ASG Galaxy shoes. And this is just for the first half of 2012! Then you have the mythical release of the Air Yeezy 2’s. With no set release date, but with speculation of a March release, this sneaker will definitely cause uproar and riots across the Niketowns of America as well as Europe’s. Ugh, decision decisions. I need a job quick if I want to be able to get the Olympic 6’s and XI low. Probably won’t happen, but its always good to have a positive outlook on life. Got a 97% on my Lit project though! Suckas! 

Today I had a discussion with my friend about assimilation. He stated, “He didn’t assimilate and he still achieved the American Dream”. My issue was that I believed his dad did assimilate into the American Culture. By learning the language and accepting the surrounding culture you do in fact assimilate. Apparently he attested assimilation to giving up your roots and liking the country your in. This is where the argument started; I told him that when you accept the surrounding culture, it doesn’t necessarily mean you have to like the country. However, he ranted how his dad hated and loathed America. And I am not a patriot so I was like , “that’s cool but he still assimilated as he learned English and as far as I know, he doesn’t crusade across America and kill Americans”. He quickly came to say that his dad did not like an ounce of America and how he has never assimilated or in words, “bow down”. So very few followers, I would like to ask you a few simple questions. 

Who was in the wrong? Were we both right? And lastly, “Should you assimilate into the surrounding culture of a country that you move into?”

My answer is yes. It is evident in history that multiculturalism is a failure in every instance. The former Yugoslavia for example had 5 different ethnic cultures living in one state. Each ethnic had strong pride and didn’t want to even respect their neighboring cultures. How did that end? Neighbors ended breaking into each others house and dragging their countrymen by the hair and slitting their throats on the street. That’s what happens when you are stubborn and don’t assimilate.
